Here's a little bit about me ...
My name is Stacy and I'm a busy mum of 3. I absolutely love food and everything about it ... from cooking savoury to baking cakes and tarts, I just love being in the kitchen.
I first started cooking at around 8. As a carer for my disabled mum, I had to learn how to cook quite early. I started making soups and stews and things like mince and potatoes and soon I found I really enjoyed it. Over the years I always kept cooking, alot from scratch but never really thought about it as seriously as I do now. It wasn't until I became a mother myself that I really started to take it seriously and wanted to give them the best food I could.
Over time I tried my hand at baking again, after failing miserably to even make pancakes in my early 20's, and managed to teach myself how to make so many different things from tarts, to big celebration cakes and even things like donuts and macarons. That's where my true passion is. It's a rare day when I don't bake at least one thing, most of the time I'm busy trying to recreate my own version of things. And this is where the blog comes in.
At first I was so nervous to do this, thinking no one would even want to see my own creations but I took the leap and I absolutely love it. To have a creative outlet in such a busy life is my own way of giving something to myself when I spend my life mostly giving to others.
These are my own recipes and I appreciate everyone has their own way of doing things. That is what makes us unique. But if someone can take something from my food, even if it is just a little inspiration for their own take on things, I'll be happy.
I really hope you enjoy the recipes and I just wanted to say thank you to everyone who has given their support, it truly means more than you'll ever know.
